The Clutter Finger – Parody

I have watched my Clutter folder in my Office 365 mailbox grow steadily since I activated it last year.  It has been working well for me and I have built up the courage to do it… yes, I’m going to use “The Clutter Finger” with complete faith in my abilities and the abilities of Clutter.

The following video was made with fun in mind, but it proves a point. For those of us whose email reading abilities can be learned by Clutter, our Inbox is clearer, easier to manage and I’m more focused.

Now watch as I demonstrate a mailbox-art move that has taken very little training but has devastating effects… to the digital piles of email that used to make me less productive.

Yes 🙂 I deal with notification emails a different way. I time-bomb them to delete after a week, using a retention rule, like in this post – http://webster.net.nz/2014/04/notification-emails-how-useful-are-they/. It’s true, I could train Clutter to recognise a little more mail. But I do like my retention rule, to demo another method.
