Is this the fix for OneDrive for Business sync issues?

OneDriveForBusiness-Oct14-FixRolling out with this months updates to Office 2013 is - October 14, 2014 update for OneDrive for Business (KB3000731) . I find this statement in the "improvements and fixes" section promising:

 "Consider the following scenario:

  • Assume that you use OneDrive for Business to synchronize files to an Information Rights Management (IRM) library.
  • You use an Office application to create an Office document.
  • You save the document by using the Save As function.
  • You upload the file to the IRM library.

 In this scenario, when you perform a synchronization operation, the syncing process appears stuck."

The fix appears to be aimed at those syncing with document libraries that have IRM enabled. It may not fix sync issues in other scenarios, such as syncing with OneDrive for Business storage. But it's indication that the ODFB sync issue is not being ignored.

I guess we'll have to wait and see if peoples experiences improve after installing this update.
